Q. Sometimes I feel like life at home is like being on a treadmill. Any ideas for breaking that cycle?

A. While “home is where the heart is,” it is mom who is the “heart of the matter.” Although the major part of your mom job is care of the children, it is care of you that is at the root of it all.

Mom Time All work and no play make mom a dull girl. As you start off the New Year, the key is to strive for balance. As you plan your day, week, month, and year, be sure to contain outings that you like for yourself like coffee with a friend, workouts of different types, hobby events, or a rove in the park. Movies, theater, museums and unique restaurants are also great places to go. A fun-filled mom is at the “heart” of a happy child.

Hands-on Interactive Play In expanding to planning time for the “new you,” there are things you can do to help life at home run more smoothly. One suggestion is to contribute your child with as many hands-on interactive play activities as possible. Clay, play dough, construction sets, bubbles, simple dolls, pegs and pegboards, and the like all contribute opportunities for your child to taste hands-on interactive play.

“Play is a Child’s Work, and Toys are the Tools.”

o A child wants to play house… Out comes the plastic dishes, cutlery, cups, and napkins.

o A child wants to play store… Out comes the empty food boxes, a play cash register, and play money.

o A child wants to play doctor… Out comes Dad’s big white shirt, cotton balls, and band aids.

Making Your Own Toys Sometimes making the toys starts off the play process. Girls can spend hours making doll clothes out of material scraps and doll houses out of small cartons. They make carnations out of tissues. Boys make their own toy cars out of boxes and wheels and all kinds of intricate structures out of toothpicks, dowels, and other household extras. Many children have hours of fun creating with Popsicle® sticks. Even though we are so used to buying toys to start the play for our children, this is often a way of putting the cart before the horse.

Lead Paint and Other Poisons

Worried about lead paint or other chemicals in your child’s toys? literally accessible materials from around the house can help. Check out your recycle bin for safe plastic containers. Get index cards in all sizes and pastel colors. Obtain markers, crayons, child-sized scissors, and chalk. Use these and other supplies like ribbon and yarn to make your own toys with and for your child.

Happy New Year to you and your family! The better you take care of yourself, the better you will be able to care for your child. Meaningful mom-time plus purposeful child-time is the method for a smooth-running family. As your child becomes more creative, self-directed, and independent the end effect will keep you fun-filled.

Smoking has just become even more expensive. The new federal taxes on tobacco products raised tobacco taxes on cigarettes from 39 cents to .01 a pack on April 1 as part of an growth to pay for wide federal condition guarnatee programs for uninsured children. I like the idea of giving condition coverage to children and I agree with this plan 100%. The intuit I agree is because I don’t smoke. I used to but I quit many years ago.

The intuit I quit was because cigarettes were development me feel terrible. I had colds constantly. My breath stunk and so did my clothes. Over the past 35 years or so I have seen the effects of smoking on many of my friends and acquaintances. Unfortunately, quite a few of them are experiencing condition problems. It was because of this that I decided to start helping population quit smoking using hypnosis and Nlp. I wanted to help population have a best opening at living a long, salutary life.

If you need reasons to quit, here are 9 of the best reasons I could come up with.

1. Smoking Causes Poor Circulation and Heart Disease

Smoking can kill you a estimate of ways. The most foremost is heart disease. There were 332,973 deaths due to heart disease in 2004. It was the estimate one cause of death in the United States. Smoking is responsible for 30 percent of all heart attacks and cardiovascular deaths. Nicotine, the main ingredient in cigarettes, raises your blood pressure and makes your blood clot more easily. When your blood clots more absolutely it gets stuck in your veins causing poor circulation and heart attacks.

Did you know that smokers often have frequent headaches? They get them because there is a constant lack of oxygen due to hardened, narrowed blood vessels to your brain. Oh, by the way, these hardened, narrowed blood vessels can lead to a stroke. Even though it wasn’t due to smoking my dad had a stroke. I guarantee you that one of the biggest reasons I don’t smoke is that I don’t want to spend the last years of my life like my dad did, weakened, using a crutch and frustrated because he couldn’t find the words to by comparison what he wanted to say.

Those blood clots caused by your smoking can cause a stroke if they end up in your brain. Smoking deprives your cardiovascular principles of oxygen. When combined with the monoxide poisoning form cigarettes, this lack of oxygen forms thick cholesterol deposits on your artery walls, choking off your blood supply. This resulting poor circulation can cause impotence, an additional one intuit to quit smoking. If you are a middle-aged or older man smoking can keep you from getting an erection and also impairs sperm motility. Most men find that this reverses when they stop smoking.

If that wasn’t enough, the poor circulation caused by smoking’s succeed in Claudication or persisting pains in the legs, feet and toes. This can eventually lead to a loss of circulation and you can end up having gangrene which will lead to the amputations of your toes or feet. Smoking can also be related to loss of circulation in your fingers.

2. Smoking Causes Cancer of the Mouth, Emphysema, Lung Cancer and Bronchitis

Do you know anything who has died from cancer? I have known a few. It can be a slow, terrible death. Cancer is caused cells that grow like weeds in a garden that strangle out needed corporeal functions and good cells. I would not wish cancer on anyone.

Studies show that smoking is responsible for at least 30 percent of all cancer deaths. Read that again, smoking is responsible for 30 percent of all cancer deaths. Tobacco in any form, along with “smokeless” or chewing tobacco significantly increases the risk for cancer of the mouth.

Smoking tobacco can cause similar effects as well as giving you gum disease and tooth decay. Dentist ordinarily send me their patients that smoke because they know the problems smoking has on dental health. Smoking also makes your teeth yellow and gives you bad breath.

If you smoke you are ten times more likely to get lung cancer as a nonsmoker. Smoking is related to 87 percent of all lung cancer deaths each year. Smoking is responsible for 82 percent of deaths due to emphysema and persisting bronchitis.

When you inhale the smoke from a cigarette it passes through your bronchi, or breathing tubes. Nasty chemicals from the cigarette smoke, like hydrogen cyanide, formaldehyde, ammonia, attach themselves to the lining of the bronchi and cause them to erode. They also cause the inflammation to the bronchi that succeed in persisting smoker’s cough. As the bronchi weaken they become more susceptible to bronchial infections as well as to colds and the flu.

3. Smoking Causes Heartburn, Ulcers and other Digestive Problems

Your whole digestive principles is affected. Smoking causes increased stomach acid secretion that contributes to heartburn and peptic ulcers. Since smoking interferes with circulation, smokers taste delays in the curative of ulcers to the stomach and duodenum.

Smoking also increases the risk of Crohn’s disease. It has also been related to gallstones, which form when liquid stored in the gallbladder hardens into pieces of stone-like material. Smoking has been related to liver damage and study suggests that smoking can worsen liver disease caused by drinking too much alcohol.

4. Smoking Causes Cancer to the Esophagus and Throat

In adults, the esophagus is an practically 10 inch hollow tube that carries food and liquids from your mouth to your stomach. The muscles of the esophagus covenant as you swallow to push food down into the stomach. It has glands in its lining that produce mucus that makes swallowing easier. Difficulty in swallowing is ordinarily the first indication of illness of esophageal cancer in most patients.

Esophageal cancer is the seventh foremost cause of cancer death in men in the United States. The tars and other chemicals in cigarette smoke can trigger cancer of the esophagus and throat. Esophageal cancer is often fatal. Both smoking and smokeless tobacco have been related to the practically 12,300 new cases in the U.S. Annually and each year there are practically 12,000 deaths caused by esophageal cancer.

5. Smoking Causes Pancreatic Cancer and Bladder Cancer

“Actor Patrick Swayze is defiantly persisting to smoke – despite suffering from cancer. Patrick was spotted enjoying a cigarette recently whilst waiting in his car for his wife to fetch pizza. The 56-year-old star has not quit the awful habit despite undergoing months of chemotherapy for pancreatic cancer. The ill ‘Ghost’ actor was also recently rushed to hospital with a lung infection and doctors declared him “more ill than ever”.”

Pancreatic cancer occurs most generally in men between the ages of 35 and 70. It is the fourth top cause of cancer mortality.

Smokers taste much higher rates of pancreatic cancer. In fact the risk of getting cancer of the pancreas is 2 to 3 times higher in smokers. Experts believe that 2 to 3 out of 10 cases of pancreatic cancer are understanding to be caused by smoking. population who use “smokeless” tobacco are also more likely to get pancreatic cancer.

The carcinogenic compounds in cigarette smoke have also been related to bladder cancer. Our bodies rid themselves of chemicals in our urine which is stored in the bladder. The presence of carcinogens in your urine from cigarette smoke can cause bladder cancer, which is often fatal.

6. Smoking Damages Kidneys

Your kidneys can be directly affected by smoking. Since smoking affects your circulation it also can elevate your blood pressure. Although high blood pressure can damage blood vessels throughout your body, when blood vessels in your kidneys are damaged it interferes with your kidney’s quality to take off wastes and immoderate fluid. This can lead to a vicious cycle with the extra fluid in your blood vessels raising your blood pressure even more, eventually resulting in kidney failure.

7. Smoking, Fertility and the Effects the Unborn Children

Studies have shown that smoking reduces a women’s fertility. It also delays their quality to conceive after they stop using birth operate pills.

Just like when you eat, a smoking mom is smoking for two. You growth the risks of miscarriage, premature birth and your baby’s death in its first year. The baby mortality rate at birth or through a miscarriage is 50 percent higher when the mom smokes. Children whose mothers smoke are also 2½ times more likely to die of crib death or sudden baby death syndrome.

The affects of smoking during pregnancy last a lifetime. The average birth weight of babies whose mother’s smoked is less than babies of nonsmokers. Also, when examined at age 7, children whose mothers smoked during pregnancy were more likely be shorter, slower readers and socially impaired.

8. Smoking Causes Wrinkles

Smoking reduces blood flow to your skin. Have you ever seen someone who has smoked for decades? Of procedure you have! Because of the lack of circulation to their skin they look life old, wrinkled baseball mitts. This lack of circulation prevents the needed oxygen and nutrients from reaching your skin. It also reduces the estimate of natural skin softeners, collagen and elastin, in your skin.

Smokers absolutely appear 5 years older than non-smokers of the same age. Since cigarette smoke irritates the skin and eyes, smokers squint more which leads to more wrinkles colse to the corners of the eyes.

9. Smoking Causes Osteoporosis

Recent studies have shown a direct relationship between smoking and decreased bone density which is known as osteoporosis. It most often affects women. Osteoporosis is a disease which causes bones to weaken and fracture more easily.

What Can You Do?

As you can see smoking has been shown to directly influence your health. Statistics show that forty percent of the men who smoke will die before they reach resignation age. Women smokers face an increased risk of cervical cancer. Pregnant women not only take risks with their own condition but also take a opening with the condition of their unborn babies.

The good news is that if you haven’t experienced any of these effects yet you can quit. When you quit your body begins to heal itself and within ten years your body will have repaired most of the damage your smoking caused.

If you are curious in quitting on your own I have a Free e-course that can help you become smoke free for life. If you are absolutely committed to quitting and are curious in getting help you can reach me at (800) 989-6570. anything you do determine to quit for good and for life!

Do you sometimes get heartburn? Do you have abdominal pain? Did you ever notice that your stomach is hypersensitive? It sounds like pylori symptoms. Helicobacter Pylori has a strong work on on the formation of ulcers in the stomach and duodenum which in turn can lead to cancer of these organs.

Where did H.Pylori originate? Helicobacter Pylori was first discovered in the stomachs of animals in the 1880′s. At the gift time it is statistically proven that up to 50% of the people of Western Europe and North America are infected, 80% of the people in Mid European countries and up to 90% of countries with low socioeconomic levels.

How can I get infected by H.Pylori?

unhygienic living conditions
population density. The infection spreads from human to human through food, water, dirty hands, saliva
H.Pylori can also be spread from animals to humans
infected hospital and dental equipment

H.Pylori can lead to the improvement of chronic inflammation in the lining of the stomach and duodenum and this results in ulcers being formed in these organs. This in turn increases the risk of stomach cancer (up to 60% of all cases of stomach cancer is caused by the pathogenic effects of Helicobacter Pylori). However not all H.Pylori cases results in cancer developing. It depends on the strain of the bacteria and the immune system of the individual, the duration of infection and other factors such as diet and lifestyle.

What are the methods for detecting this microorganism? Helicobacter Pylori is found in the upper parts of the gastrointestinal tract.

It is found by taking a sample during an Endoscopy, breath tests, blood tests or stool tests.

Unfortunately these methods only assesses the proximity of the bacteria. They don’t say nothing about its quantity. These methods are fast and easy but don’t interfere with the inpatient much, therefore these methods are used all colse to the world.

Apart from curative tests you can also self diagnose the Pylori symptoms. If you notice any of the signs listed below, you may be infected by H. Pylori:

tightness and plentifulness in the abdomen
nausea, vomiting, diarrhea
constipation
bloating
severe stabbing pain in the stomach or duodenum
stomach inflammation
fast weight loss or weight gain
dryness in the mouth
nasty white coating on the tongue
bad breath
sore throat
skin problems

Treatment:

Treatment involves the supervision of omeprazole and antibiotics. This is a very high-priced treatment which also carries the risk of adverse effects and resistance to antibiotics. In addition, there is an immense spread of the infection Helicobacter Pylori so more and more people are turning to natural methods to prevent Pylori symptoms from returning.

Naturally enough, if you are the owner of a restaurant, your aim is to serve the best food in town, in the most perfect atmosphere, so, apart from the dishes that always come first, everything will be leading to you – from your staff’s uniforms to cutlery, furniture and light fittings.

But exactly because you work with customers that you intend to please to the most of your abilities and means, you have to think about insurance as well, because the collective is demanding, especially in cuisine and entertainment matters, and thus hard to please. everything from an overcooked steak to seeing some hairs in an otherwise delicious dish may come to be an chance for dispute in a court of law. Therefore, if you want to keep your reputation intact and make profit instead of wasting money on lawyers, make sure you are covered.

While it is leading to have your place with its contents and stock covered against fire, water leakage, earthquake or anyone could destroy them in a split second, when it comes to human risks, also coverage against theft or burglary, it is as leading to have expert liability and employer’s liability insurance. With these, you’ll be sure to flee undamaged from possible lawsuits, which are even likelier than a fire in the litigious business environment of these days.

While the collective liability insurance will help you deal with unsatisfied customers, employer’s liability insurance will aid you against discontent employees. If a buyer sues you for food poisoning or an worker initiates legal proceedings because they suffered a work accident, either by breaking some limb because of the slippery wet floor or by tasting something they are allergic to, at least you know that both compensations and legal costs will be covered by the insurer.

Indemnity insurance covers both your and your employees’ liability to a third party, in this case the custom. If the latter got injured or in any way hurt on your premises straight through your or your employees’ fault, then this cover will provide for compensations in the name of the restaurant and for the legal expenses complex by precious and continued lawsuits. Even if none of you is guilty, such indemnity would be still useful for providing you with the financial aid required to prove that. Therefore, if you want to avoid ruining your restaurant by long legal battles to be covered directly from your till or by damaging your reputation, make sure any unsupported claim of your clients or provable mistake on your part is adequately attended to.

With practically 1 in 3 habitancy being diagnosed with cancer in the Western World more and more habitancy are asking: “why after over 30 years of ‘research’ are we no nearer to a cure?” As a succeed more habitancy who have cancer are looking towards natural cancer rehabilitation rather than drugs, radiation and chemotherapy. It is now more widely standard and proven that these accepted treatments do nothing to cure cancer and forestall its return. Varied research has found that about 75% of doctors would not take or give to their families the treatments that they prescribe to their patients. (Google it and see for yourself!)

In the 1970s when I was a child I read an article in a condition magazine about a woman who was riddled with cancer and had only been given a few months to live by her doctors. She then went on to cure herself completely by using a natural cancer rehabilitation which complex changing her diet. This largely consisted of eating fruit which detoxified her body and slowly her tumours were substituted with wholesome cells. This stuck with me in case I was ever diagnosed with cancer.

So why then 30 years on are doctors not advocating natural cancer cures to their patients? Cancer research charities and pharmaceutical companies are hugely profitable and doctors may whether not be knowledgeable about alternative treatments or forbidden from recommending them by their medical board. Because these organisations are so large they have the money and power to dismiss natural cures as being hocus pocus. After all there is no profit for them if they tell us to eat healthily and take more exercise! They are very influential in the media and with governments but we need to start taking accountability for ourselves and stop trusting them.

Fortunately with the advent of the internet habitancy are now able to do their own research and find a wealth of information about natural cancer treatment. While a lot of habitancy will still dismiss this because of their pre-conditioning many more are beginning to wake up to the truth. It makes sense when you think about it that eating a wholesome diet, taking more exercise, avoiding processed foods and toxic personal care products will do more to forestall and cure cancer than pumping your body with a load of radiation and poisonous chemicals!

Sometimes all the information that is out there can seem astonishing to start with but if you start production small changes to your lifestyle then the effects will be cumulative. There is probably not one method, supplement or food that is going to be an productive natural cancer rehabilitation but a composition of fthese actors. These could be things like quitting smoking, cutting out sugar, eating more raw food and drinking green tea to name but a few. Of policy it is requisite to do your own research and find the things that work for you. Nature made us unique and she also in case, granted all we need to come to be and stay wholesome for life!

When you consider going on a raw food diet you should be aware that a estimate of foods, when consumed uncooked, might be toxic and that some might aggravate pre-existing condition problems. Below we list the most problematic foods.

Red Kidney beans: include a substance called phytohaemagglutinin. When the bean is cooked the toxic is broken down but when the beans are consumed in a soaked but raw state they can trigger greatest nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. Symptoms can be triggered when as few as four or five beans are consumed. The onset of the symptoms is within a few hours after consumption.

Buckweed sprouts; contrary to the shoots of the buckweed plant, buckwheat groats or seeds you should eat the raw sprouts. The sprouts include an ingredient called fagopyrin which causes skin irritation, especially when the skin is exposed to the sun. Symptoms include: skin turning pink directly after exposure to the sun, burning sensation, numbness.

Alfalfa sprouts; alfalfa sprouts include canavanine which will influence the protein yield in the body, messing up several aspects of the metabolism. It should especially not be eaten by people with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (Sle)! Symptoms are: fatigue, aching joints and in people with Sle may trigger an charge and lead to dead.

Cassava; contains linamarin and lotaustralin, both cyanogenic glucosides. The estimate of the toxin differs with the type of cassava (sweet or bitter) and the growing conditions (draught during growing increases the toxin level). Just a few pieces of cassava roots can include a fatal dose of poison. Even the varieties that include low levels of the toxin are good avoided as they may lead to persisting low level cyanide poisoning and cause for example gaut or pancreatitis.

Some peas; the raw seed of grass peas, dahl and almorta peas may be poisonous, causing neurological frailness of the lower limbs.

Apricot kernels; include cyanogenetic glycosides and can, like cassava cause serious condition problems. Many people do eat them as they consider the low levels of the toxin to be in fact useful to the body but greatest care should be taken when enthralling any fruit kernel (apricots, cherries, plums, peaches).

Raw eggs; although determined potentially toxic you would need to consume over 20 eggs per day to induce the toxicity (inhibit vitamin B7). You should be aware of possible salmonella poisoning though.

Overall when you do consider a raw food diet and do have a pre-existing condition problem you should all the time consult your doctor prior to beginning the diet.

T-shirt manufacturers use many terms to report their products. The terms are not all the time consistent and it helps to have a reference guide.

The following is the legal Green Man T-Shirts Guide to comprehension t-shirt terms:

20s, 20/1, 20s single: Unit of measurement that defines the fineness of cotton thread. A thorough spool of single-ply cotton thread is comprised of 840 yards of cotton thread. If it takes 20 spools to weigh one pound, then the thread on those spools is referred to as 20s cotton, or 20/1. If 30 spools weigh one pound, then the thread on those spools is referred to as 30s cotton thread, or 30/1. If it takes 40 spools to weigh one pound, then the thread on those spools is referred to as 40s cotton, or 40/1. The higher amount means a finer thread, and thus a finer, softer fabric is created. T-shirts made of 30s and 40s are softer, finer, and have best drape than t-shirts made of 20s. The terms are used many ways, but it’s the amount that counts; “20s,” “20/1,” and “20 singles” are the same. Threads can be twisted together into thicker strands. If two 20/1 cotton threads were twisted together, it would be referred to as 20/2.

Bamboo Fabric: Rayon made from bamboo cellulose. Although rayon is a man-made synthetic material, most experts agree it is facilely biodegradable. Bamboo fabric is very soft and has excellent drape.

Bamboo: Fast growing plant, classified as a grass, which can be facilely processed into rayon to make bamboo rayon clothing.

Bleach Wash: A process that uses bleach to soften and distress the look of the fabric being washed.

Carbon Dioxide: Co2. A chemical mixture composed of two oxygen atoms and one carbon atom. Known as a “greenhouse” gas because of its association with global warming. A few t-shirt manufacturers are now measuring and recording the Co2 emissions complicated in manufacturing their shirts.

Carbon Trust: Independent assosication founded in 2001 in Great Britain that monitors carbon emissions. The Carbon Trust works with associates to help sell out their carbon footprint, and now certifies associates and products as having a “low carbon” or “no carbon” footprint. A few t-shirt associates now manufacture “low carbon footprint” t-shirts.

Carding: A fiber cleaning process that eliminates short fibers and removes dirt and foreign matter. Carding can be done by hand or by large machines using drum rollers. Carded-only cotton is not as desirable as combed cotton.

Cellulase Wash: someone else name for enzyme wash. This gives fabric a soft feel and a vintage look, depending on how the wash is done.

Cellulose: Derived from the cell walls of safe bet plants. Useful in manufacture safe bet types of fabrics, along with acetate, triacetate, and rayon. Bamboo fabric is beyond doubt rayon made from bamboo cellulose.

Cheap Cotton T-Shirt: T-shirts made with carded cotton, using 18/1 thread, commonly knitted on 20 gauge machines. These t-shirts are coarse, rough, and have poor drapability. Used often as cheap promotional give-aways.
